Amazing! The art is amazing and the pages are thick and high quality. They have quotes from the book that the picture goes with so each coloring page is one sided which is actually really nice. And each of the pages is perforated so that they easily fold back and tear off if you wish to remove them. All the pictures are super nice. I am a huge fan of this series, it's definitely my favorite series so I was a bit worried but it's better than I could've imagined. Only negative is there is no rat Simon picture.

Lots of Clace!

Good detail! The book has scenes from Coty of Bones through City of Heavenly Fire. I wish their were more of Jonathan but most major moments are caught. The only one I wish that was in here was the final scene in Edom with Jocelyn and Clary but every other major scene is there. Lots of Clace and Malec. Not as much Sizzy or other characters but that's fine by me. The way the angels are drawn is pretty cool.

All the coloring pages are on the right side which is nice since drawlings that are front and back get wrapped in other books I have purchased.

I'm a big Mortal Instruments fan so I loved it.

Carole A. Haswell is a Senior Lecturer in Physics and Astronomy in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, The Open University. Great under-grad level textbook

If you are an astronomy or astrophysics major, and want to learn about one of the most studied types of exoplanets, this book is for you. What I like are the concept questions in each section. There's no "chapter" exercises, but the questions given throughout each section help to reinforce the key concepts.

Absolutely AMAZING!

I just finished reading a copy of "The Smartypants' Guide to the AP Environmental Science Exam" by Michelle Mahanian and it was absolutely AMAZING! So far, I have been suggesting to my students to avoid study guides for the AP exam and focus on the class notes, since all of the review books I encountered for APES were filled with useless information. However, from now on, the Smartypants book is going to be REQUIRED READING for all of my students. I've already bought a class set! It's... simply not enough.

The AP Environmental Science Exam has made, somewhat of a boost in difficulty. After taking both the 2004 and 1998 practice exams, I was relatively confident that the Smarty Pants Guide contained everything that I needed for the test. However, when I took the test just a few days ago (07') the test was substantially more detailed than I expected it to be...

It's alright, perhaps, for the previous exams, but it's outdated now... don't get it for a review of basic concepts, at best.

Excellent Clinical Reference

As a busy clinical otolaryngologist in Lutherville Maryland, who is called upon to render opinions on all manner of oral lesions, I am pleased to finally have a comprehensive reference to make my practice more precise and treatment rendered more effective. This book is very well illustrated and provides an in-depth yet telegraphic approach to the wide range of oral pathology that is encountered in the general clinical practice of ENT. I recommend this well referenced book to all of us in allopathic medicine, who are not extensively trained in benign oral lesions,but are in need of a cogent answer to the question "Hey Doc look at this and tell me what you think it is?". I now have a "go to" reference for this exact need. Mark Williams MD

Important, eclectic survey

This is indeed a remarkable collection. As the editors stated, "much of the chocolate story has been told elsewhere" and the impressive historical research that went into this book does not attempt to make an encyclopedic sweep of the subject. For example, while you will find a ten page, well-illustrated article on "California's Chocolate History" with 80 footnotes, you will find just over a paragraph on Milton W. Hershey although one of the primary objectives of the study that produced this book was to "determine historical patterns of introduction and dispersal of chocolate products throughout North America." There are two references to the largest chocolate and coco maker in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century, Stollwerck Brothers, ( Stolwerck's (sic) in the index). One is a sentence about a chocolate trade card and later a paragraph is included the Stollwerck pavilion at the 1893 Columbian Exposition. Stollwerck, according to a biographer of H J Heinz, "made chocolate like the Krupp steelworks made steel." Among the innovations Heinz and others were to emulate in America were a focus on the purity of the product from source to sales, niche marketing, and reliance on steam-powered machinery. While one of the book's objectives, to "identify the development and evolution of chocolate-related technology in North America," it is best to keep in mind that this important collection of essays sheds light on disparate, fascinating topics, but cannot survey the amazing story of chocolate, in all its "history, culture and heritage."
