okay as an introductory textbook to I/O psychology

This textbook is okay. It goes over basic principles of I/O psychology, but doesn't go into them as in depth as I would prefer. It's suitable for an introductory course, but left me kind of wanting more.

but I would not waste your time on it if you don't have to

This book was required for school, but I would not waste your time on it if you don't have to. While there are some interesting points, the book tends to be excessively wordy. The author jumps all over the place and takes too long to get to the point.
